In Loving Memory of Glenn G. Wood

    June 24, 1947-November 21, 2023

Glenn and his wife (Karen) Wood have been loyal members and friendly faces at the Community Presbyterian Church for the past 50 years. They were united in marriage in the church on December 16th, 1966. Glenn served as an elder and Sunday school teacher at the Church for many of those years. He found great joy in helping each of his grandchildren sculpt their own relationship with Christ. He loved giving children a ride to make sure they could be included in the Sunday school lessons each week.

His daughters, Kayla Belt and Kelcey Smith, were both raised in the Church, married in the Church, and are still involved members today.

Glenn served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a proud American, and loved seeing the American flag on display. In loving memory of him, the Community Presbyterian Church will now fly their flag with that same pride.

The Church has been, and will continue to be a place of love, comfort, and joy for him and his family. A lot of that built upon his relationship with God and the Church. Glenn loved the simple things life had to offer. His smile was infectious. His heart was pure and giving. His family was his world. Most importantly, he did it through serving God. Glenn was a good Christian that will be dearly missed and remembered always.
